DPG is the short form of NDS-MPEG; it is a particular type of format of video for playback in the Nintendo DS.  Sometimes it becomes very difficult to play DVD movies in your Nintendo DS, For example – You have found favorite movies or videos on net and you have downloaded it to watch in your Nintendo DS, but when you opened the file it shows file is not supported and finally you realize that file is in DVD format which is not supportable by your Nintendo DS.
